Part of a leadership team in a South-East Victoria flagship store entrusted with the largest new mobile acquisition target nationally.
Main responsibilities included:
- Aiding Store Manager(s) with oversight of 30+ staff members ensuring KPI’s (based on a points per product system and Net Promoter Score customer satisfaction survey rating) are met by each staff member and business compliance rules are strictly adhered to.
- I was required to analyze customer data and sales metrics to identify their influence on store KPI achievement. Using this data, I formulated action plans and coaching strategies that were then presented to staff to ensure a minimum individual achievement of 80% to target and 95% compliance adherence was always followed. Due my guidance in the sale process and operational tweaks, Chadstone finished #3 in Pacesetter 2025 – a annual, national Optus competition ranking stores based on sale volume, compliance and positive customer experience.
- Directly addressed customers, ranging from public consumers to Small/Medium Business Owners (ranging from 0-100 employees), in provisioning of products, de-escalation of complaints and education of breakthrough device technology. I was required to have extensive product knowledge in mobile sim plans, devices (tablets, smartwatches, phones, modems), internet plans and accessories. I also frequently maintained post initial contact relationships with customers to ensure a positive customer experience and repeat business. Frequently applied active listening and the above product and system knowledge to finish trade at up to 500% to target.
- Due to my acumen and proficiency in exceeding sales targets I was assigned to complete 2 secondments at Fountain Gate as Assistant Manager and Knox as Store Manager. My influence in these temporary roles resulted in a tripling of Knox's Points-Per-Foot-Traffic conversion, doubling of new customer acquisition and via my efficacy in utilizing strong sale closing techniques, Fountain Gate won a monthly award for highest SMB customer sales conversion rate (based on a 1-in-100 customer denominator.
