• A colleague from RACQ purchased an ABS Brakes franchise in Capalaba in west Brisbane and I work their to help get him started, duties were mainly brake repairs.

• Age 26 to current

I contacted by Kevin Lock who owned Portsmith Fuels and he expressed interest in opening a service centre in one of his service stations, i ended up accepting the job and moved to North Qld. I open and staffed the service station and run it for 4 years before purchasing a tyre and mechanical business in Mission Beach. I moved to Mission Beach and ran the business their for 15 years. My work their was varied but started to lead toward the performance side of the industry. I leased a closed service station and got it up and running again as a private station and opened a performance automotive shop in the rear shed with Dyno tuning facilities. After a year i could not manage the time in both shops and sold the Mission Beach shop to a southern buyer. I continued to run the other shop till we sold and moved to Ayr where i found myself contracting to workshops, mainly performance shops from Mackay to Cairns. This time away has been hard on my family and the the time away is too hard for us all. This time away and family time i have lost has made the decision to work closer to home.
