My Name is Jay Dyer. I am 16 years old and currently completing year 11 at ST Francis de Sales College. I am also undertaking certificate II in Electrotechnology with the view of embarking in a career in this field. I am a hardworking person and passionate job seeker with strong organizational skills eager to secure entry-level position as a Heavy Vehicle Mechanic / A Class electrician.
I am reliable punctual, courteous and polite and I understand my obligations in regard to OH&S policy. I am keen to learn as much as I can about all things mechanical and enjoy working in a hands on environment.
I enjoy working with my hands and undertaking mechanical tasks at home involving the use of hand tools and power tools. I am proficient in the use of IT and computers and find this area of emerging technology very interesting in regard to heavy industries.
I gained an interest in Heavy Vehicle Mechanics from my Father as he is a Heavy Vehicle Mechanic by trade, and during a trip around Australia where we visited mine sites and viewed different Heavy Industry.
One of my main interests include motor mechanics at home on my 1971 Leyland Mini. I also service my mothers car at regular intervals, completing oil and filter changes and general under bonnet checks.
I enjoy fishing and camping in my free time around the Fleurieu Peninsula. My favourite fishing destination is Kangaroo Island and catching King George Whiting.
