My name is Jayden, I am a 25-year-old male, living in Bendigo, Victoria. My current situation allows for me to be flexible and reliable when it comes to meeting work demands, to getting to all rostered shifts and taking up overtime shifts where I am needed by the company. I pride myself on being a very fast leaner and always being determined to work at the best of my capability, I have always worked well in a team and independently and can work in a fast but accurate manner, in high stress situations and constantly changing environments. My work experience goes from bartending to working within a factory operating machinery to being a prison office, with my past work experience I have gained a range of skills with most being tested daily such as time management skills, communication skills, paperwork, use of Microsoft applications and teamwork.

  • Tasks performed during the 5 months I had employment: Cleaning gym equipment, working with customers, setting up and packing for soccer games, boxing etc., helping out for fund raisers, filling in for games that were short of players, restocking fridges and shelves, deep cleaning bathrooms and toilets, outside cleaning, moving bricks, doing gardening, reorganizing store rooms.

  • Since working in the prison I have been exposed and adapted to shift work, 12 and a half hour shifts, high stress situations and a constantly changing environment, with gaining this experience I can confidently say that I am now comfortable in all of these situations as well as gaining more experience in my time management skills and communication skills as these were tested everyday within the prison work life
  • I was also required to participate in regular training to keep up to date with how we wanted the prison to function.

  • Working at Don KR afternoon shift I have worked in 2 of the areas within the factory being Small Goods manufacturing as a cleaner/cooks assistant my duties included cleaning vatts and rods with chemicals which I was trained to use and helping the cooks with moving trolleys full of different meats into the ovens and transferring them from the ovens to the chillers, when I worked in Ham Slicing I was a Slicer operator which I was in charge of operating the slicing machines on whichever line I was placed on which changed most days, in this position I had experience with knife handling, operating the machine, paperwork and time management.

  • While working at the Melton Country Club I was mainly working behind the bar serving drinks and snack foods, Three times a week I set up the function rooms for big events, Every Wednesday I ran stock once it got delivered I would take it from the back into our freezers and then stock the fridges at the end of the day if need be.
