Jean-Pierre Langley

I completed four 2-week blocks of work experience as an electrician with DCSWA over a 2 year period. I completed my pre-apprenticeship through school at swan trade training centre. This work experience taught me to put my best foot forward, ask questions and to try something new even if I didn't know how to just give it a go.

I am currently working as a TA for a building company doing maintenance for Western Powers facilities doing a wide variety of jobs including, renovations, waterproofing and fireproofing, asbestos removal, groundworks, and plenty more. In this time as a TA and apprentice I've learnt team skills such as communication, leadership, initiative and integrity. I'm eager to learn and pride myself on my hard work and can do attitude.

I played rugby throughout my childhood and got into refereeing as soon as I could. It taught me leadership, patience, persistence, and confidence in my ability to take control of a situation.

Working at dominos was my first job as a 16 year old and it taught me how to work together with others whilst under pressure and how to communicate with customers effectively.
