Summary
I am 18 years of age and am looking to enter into a workplace-based electrical apprenticeship/traineeship. I am currently employed as a field and laboratory technician for a construction materials testing company in a FIFO role based out of Perth, Western Australia. I have been in this role for four months and have worked in this industry since moving down to Perth in October 2022 after completing Year 10 in 2021. I enjoy the work I am doing now but my goal has always been to obtain an Electrical trade qualification and now that I am established in Perth, I am keen to get this underway. My current job is physically intensive and requires a high level of safety awareness as it involves handling of hazardous materials, operation of power tools, working both outdoors in extreme conditions and indoors in dusty, dirty, noisy environments. It also requires computer literacy, and proficiency in data processing and analysis. I have received excellent feedback from my supervisors and managers on my performance in this role and consider myself a motivated and astute individual who would be well-suited to the rigors and demands of electrical work.
