Summary

I am a Doctoral Candidate at the University of Sydney, supported by both USYD and NHMRC Scholarships, in the School of Health Sciences. My research focuses on optimising phase-contrast computed tomography (PB-CT) for breast cancer screening. With a solid foundation in radiography, I am eager to transition into clinical practice to maintain a direct connection with the clinical environment. This will enable me to stay engaged with real-world applications while continuing to advance research in medical imaging.

  • Contributed to the overall management and execution of a clinical study investigating biomarkers to differentiate the potential for acute or chronic pain following knee or thoracic surgery
  • Conducted essential research procedures, including data management, administering surveys and questionnaires, and maintaining subject retention throughout the study
  • Adhered to institutional regulations in participant recruitment, eligibility screening, informed consent, research assessments, data entry, and follow-up scheduling
  • Performed safety screening for MRI exams to ensure patient eligibility and safety

Clinical Internship- Medical Imaging

American University of Beirut Medical Center
06.2019 - 05.2021
  • Gained hands-on experience in medical imaging physics, equipment operation, and image quality evaluation
  • Assisted in diagnosing pathology through accurate image analysis and interpretation
  • Provided high-quality patient care, including telemetry monitoring and ensuring patient comfort during procedures
  • Worked both independently and as part of a team to efficiently manage radiology rooms
  • Demonstrated strong multitasking abilities by managing patient inquiries while producing diagnostic-level imaging and maintaining room organization

Academic Representative

UCL Division of Medicine Education Programmes
09.2021 - 10.2022
  • Acted as the primary liaison between students and faculty, representing peers' academic concerns and feedback to staff and administration
  • Utilized multiple communication channels to compile, present, and follow up on student issues, ensuring timely updates were relayed back to the student body
  • Collaborated with faculty and staff to implement positive changes in areas such as feedback processes and online participation
  • Organised and coordinated social and career-focused events, engaging 40-50 students to foster a sense of community and professional development

Research Internship - Advance Biomedical Imaging

UCL CABI
