Commencing at Treasury Brisbane in March 2007 and transferring to Jupiters Hotel & Casino (now The Star Gold Coast) in March 2008, my role evolved from managing the recruitment and onboarding of front-line roles, through to senior management and executive placements. Throughout my time at The Star Entertainment Group I managed all recruitment portfolios across these iconic venues, employing approximately 5000 new hires end-to-end.

  • Manage full End to end recruitment process of all positions, across GC’s iconic venue from approved vacancy through to selection and onboarding
  • Provide strategic advice to hiring managers on appropriate sourcing and candidate attraction strategies
  • Manage all formal offer documentation ensuring legal compliance
  • Create, maintain & update external advertisements for The Star careers websites and external job boards
  • Manage vacancies with online system tool (PageUp), using reporting tools to track trends and activity
  • Maintain ‘The Star’ brand standards and incorporate Employer Value Proposition into advertising and sourcing activities


Achievements

  • Successfully recruited opening teams for multiple venues to specific people briefs (Garden Kitchen & Bar, The Darling, The Atrium, Kiyomi, Sports Bar)
  • Successful long-term partnership with culinary teams at both Treasury and The Star Gold Coast
  • Key part of pre-Commonwealth Games project team with multiple recruitment drives across several new and existing venues
