Dynamic and skilled Operator with extensive experience, excelling in equipment operation and road maintenance. Proven ability to ensure safety compliance while maintaining high productivity. Adaptable and proactive, I effectively troubleshoot machinery and foster teamwork, contributing to seamless operations in challenging environments.
My time with Castlereagh Coal has been operating Grader, D11 Bulldozer and truck when required, often hot seat and when we're under staffed.
In the Grader (140M) I ensure a safe and clean site, often performing road maintenance and preventive maintenance. Machine interaction is often the number 1 concern when performing road maintenance, making positive communication and situational awareness a priority, keeping the flow of production un hindered.
In the D11, I've worked in and around dig areas, rip and pushing and also cleaning up dig area floors to ensure comfortable and smooth operating for truck operators and other mine personnel. Pushing out tip heads and ensuring full and safe windrows have also been essential in my time in the bulldozer.
Working in a small pit, looking out for your teammates is essential, this means having a safety first mentality, ensuring everyone goes home safe and happy. Pit duties have also been a job that I have been required to do, fueling pumps and generators around site, keeping track of fueling consumption and operating hours.
With GDRS Group I worked in a small mine outside of Queensland rural town called Emerald. I operated 657 scrapers stripping topsoil for a new open cut mine.
I worked in a circuit with up to 3 to 4 other 657 Scrapers while also having a D11 ripping and occasionally puushing scrapers when required.
FIFO was required for this role, Working a 2 weeks on, 1 week off roster. Living in camp accommodation in Emerald.
During my time with Dunn's Earth Moving, I worked remotely in outback SA and QLD which required me to Fly In and Fly Out. I worked a roster of 3 weeks on and 1 week off during my time with Dunns. I started operating scrapers (623K, 623G, 623F), where I was required to strip and stockpile borrow pit. With material from the borrow pits, we worked closely with Graders and water trucks to ensure the tolerance of 30mm to 40mm was reached as that was the operating tolerance of the Gas and Oil drill rigs.
As my career progressed with Dunns I began to operate Graders and Bulldozers, as an multiskilled operator. In the Grader (140M, 140H) I was required to meet specific designs and tolerances for roads and lease pads and a timely matter. I supervised and operated in road maintenance teams made up of Scrapers and Water trucks.
In the Bulldozers (D8, D7, D6) I was required to cut and fill leases within 100mm to 300mm to prepared them for the Grader and lease crew. Digging sumpd on the leases was required to design to ensure no contamination from the cuttings which would come from the drill rigs.
Working remotely out in the field, mechanics were often hours away and often needed diagnosing before making the track out, so mechanical aptitude was essential.
After completing year 12 I started an apprenticeship as a carpenter, where I would go on to learn how to read and understand plan designs and requirements which have carried over into my earth moving career.
