Summary

Growing up in country New South Wales in a healthcare-oriented and medically complex family exposed me early on to the challenges and strengths of rural healthcare. I was extremely fortunate to be accepted into a rural medical degree, and undertake my clinical placement in small rural areas. I had immense learning from rural clinicians and the rural medical workforce as a whole, and will be able to take these skills into my future practice as a rural doctor.
