- Permanent Head of Department Senior Schooling where my main responsibility is for the academic and wellbeing outcomes of approximately 400 students
- I am the primary contact for the year 12 cohort and key contact for student’s families
- Key duties I have undertaken whilst in this role have included: 2022 lead the largest year 12 cohort Marsden SHS has had
- 2020 lead the year 12 cohort through the disrupted year of learning to be the first cohort to complete their QCE and ATAR in its current format
- Tracking student academic data in relation to QCE attainment and ATAR eligibility
- Tracking student behaviour and attendance to ensure they have the skillset required to be successful post-school
- Liased with key stakeholders within the school community to facilitate alternate pathways, traineeships and apprenticeships for students
- Complex case management meetings for at risk students (behaviour, wellbeing, academics) for 15 staff
- Encouraged both staff and students to be futures oriented and strategic
- Line management approximately 40 staff (MMM and line management allocation) and set attainable goals to improve their everyday teaching practice, which in turn impacts positively on student outcomes
- Form positive relationships with both staff, students, key stakeholders and members of the wider school community
