My goal at KFC was to gain management experience. I started as a kitchen hand/server and quickly moved up to a shift supervisor before being promoted again into an Assistant Manager position. I then took a step back to balance my time with uni. I learnt to use management tools and systems, as well as direct experience training and managing staff. I enjoyed the chance to learn and grow my skills while becoming more helpful to our team.
My tasks included:
Actively fixing time sensitive issues.
Cash management including preparing tills for opening, closing tills and final safe counts for the store, and providing sales figures for the day through our internal systems.
Ensuring my staff are trained and competent in food preparation and customer service.
Being competent in managing every shift, ensuring that the store is ready from open until close.
Quality control such as ordering correct stock quantities, maintaining fresh products, and ensuring the finished product meets company standards.

Whilst working at Centrepoint and Rack City I am required to be flexible and versatile. I first started by serving customers and sending out orders. I quickly moved up to working multiple sections, and eventually running my own section. After finishing my own tasks I'd reach out and assist other departments with their remaining tasks. I have been enjoying the chance to learn and grow my skills while becoming more helpful to our team.
My tasks Included:
Checking orders are complete, correct, on time, and up to our standards.

Answering phones and processing orders through Deliveroo, Uber, and Door Dash Systems.
Liaising with customers and management for catering orders, function bookings, and special requests.
