  • Company Overview: Family owned and privately held since 1929, the J.R. Simplot Company is an international food and agriculture company with approximately 14,000 employees serving customers around the world. The Company’s integrated portfolio includes farming, ranching and cattle production, food processing, food brands, phosphate mining, fertiliser manufacturing, and other enterprises related to agriculture. Its major operations in the U.S., Canada, Mexico, Australia, Argentina and China provide a diverse array of products and services to people around the world. Simplot Australia is held by the JRS Company.
  • As a member of the global L,L&OD Global Centre of Excellence I co-lead our team based across Australia to design programs, experiences and interventions to improve organisational effectiveness, retain talent, develop leadership and team capability. Our team consists of seven direct reports with a total annual budget of approximately 4.5Mil. My primary responsibilities include development of the global Talent Development and Succession agenda, owner and designer of the team effectiveness toolkit and Leadership Development design and facilitation.

I worked particularly closely with Plant leadership teams to implement change programs, provide leadership, coaching, deal with complex IR issues and restructure operations to ensure cost efficiencies.

Senior Human Resources Advisor

  • As part of the HR Business Partner team, provide HR generalist advice and support to diverse customer groups; hourly trade and operator roles, salaried EBA covered, salaried EBA free and executives. This support includes advising the business in the areas of recruitment and selection, employee relations, compensation and benefits, performance management, HR policy and process as well as supporting the implementation of HR initiatives. Customer groups; Program Management, Integration and Safety and Advanced Vehicle Development Centre. This includes being the key HR representative to the Proving Ground (test facility) based in Lang Lang.

  • Initially supporting only the Finance department, in November of 2008 my role extended to also provide HR generalist support to the IS&S department. In April 2009, the organisation insourced their Company Vehicle Operations (CVO), I was appointed HR Advisor to this project.
  • Provided support to the Finance HR Business Partner in facilitation and coordination the monthly Finance HRM and associated processes.
