Work History

I have worked at Cabramatta Bowling Club since I was 15 years old. Without knowing exact dates, my timeline progresses as;

2005 - I started in Admin as a junior receptionist completing daily tasks like opening mail, attending to GM & answering phone calls providing customer service

2007 - I left High School in 2006, half way through year 11 & continued to work full time. I was then enrolled on behalf of the business, with Australian Business College in North Strathfield obtaining a certificate 4 in Business Admin which I then took and used to improve my skills with Cabra Bowls.

With this I went on to handle more responsibility & took care of Membership, Reception & held responsibilities as a PA for the venue General Manager.

2011 - I took on more duties with Cabra Bowls advancing & taking care of the Functions department. I pushed myself to continue building the department & became the Functions Manager of Cabramatta Bowling Club, leading the venue into a high reputation for events including birthdays, engagements, weddings, conferences and more. I was also able to manage corporate events & build a strong business profile for events with Cabra Bowls.

I completed another degree obtaining my Event Management diploma in 2015.

2015 - I took on the role of Marketing which was a basic introduction as the venue had not held a marketing position prior. I was able to coordinate matters such as Entertainment contracts, advertising & more.

2016 to COVID-19 2020 - The venue grew in size obtaining 2 more venues enabling Cabra Bowls to become Cabra Bowls Group. With that, I became the Group Event & Marketing Manager merging both of my roles into one title. I have had the pleasure of growing with the business as it developed and expands. I currently work and engage with senior management through to front line staff performing a range or marketing & event strategies to continue building the business & brand.

Personal Information, Interest & Hobbies

A little bit about me, outside of work. I am a mother of 4 children and have continued throughout my career in Hospitality whilst holding together a busy family. My children are currently 10, 8, 5 & 2. It’s certainly a challenge however, I love every minute of juggling a full time career with family & have a great support network at home with extended family members always willing to help when I am required to work. I try and balance a healthy work/home lifestyle however, working is my adrenaline to life.

I’m bubbly, happy, positive and always a go-getter! I present myself well & hold grooming well very high. I encourage those around me & always offer assistance where I can. I’m a big believer in working together to reach a positive result.

I enjoy in my spare time reading, researching & playing lawn bowls. I also enjoy volunteering in community charities & events. In 2019, I volunteered for a number of community events including ‘It’s in the Bag’ which was a charity based around homeless women.
In my quiet time I enjoy escaping with the family for some relaxing time along the water with a fishing rod & my dog Chase.
