- The role of an Aged Carer is very diverse, and it was a job that I adapted well and thrived in. This role provided me the opportunity to demonstrate my caring nature to the aged and the love I have for ensuring their wellbeing is a priority. The resident’s comfortability is with the utmost importance, so therefore it is essential that I built a rapport with residents, by establishing a personal connection and showing an interest in their lives. The ability to communicate problems, concerns or issues to resident’s family members, is an important facet to being an aged Carer, something I am comfortable in doing. I relish in assisting our residents to accomplish daily tasks, including bathing, eating, dressing, grooming and using the restroom. I wanted to ensure that the residents were comfortable at all times, and that they understood my priority was them.

- The role of housekeeper is very challenging, with a wide variety of jobs that was physical and included heavy lifting at time. Although challenging, I adapted very well, and enjoyed my short time within a dynamic and exciting team. I was charged with the task of housekeeper that included a vast range of jobs including the cleaning of hotel rooms to sanitation requirements of the resort and legislation.
