• Assemble, service and repair road transport equipment to BRE’s high quality standards.
• Read and interpret drawings and assembly instructions to assemble trailers accurately and efficiently, adhering to BRE’s high quality standards.
• Install various components including axles, wheels, brakes, suspension systems, electrical systems, and other trailer-specific parts in accordance with established guidelines.
• Conduct thorough inspections of assembled trailers to identify and rectify any defects, ensuring all trailers meet or exceed quality and safety standards before finalisation.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot any mechanical issues or discrepancies that arise during assembly, working to find effective solutions in a timely manner.
• Maintain accurate records of completed assembly tasks, including part usage, hours worked, and any issues encountered during the assembly process.
• Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and other departments to coordinate assembly tasks, resolve challenges and contribute to a productive work environment.
• Properly use, maintain and store all tools and equipment, ensuring they are in good working condition and report any malfunctioning equipment to the Leading Hand or Supervisor.
• Perform all duties whilst adhering to WHS requirements.
