  • Since the start of my registered nursing career, I have worked predominantly in medical-surgical area of nursing. This includes providing care to patients pre and post-surgery. More recently, I have worked in a multiple surgical specialty ward whereby I provide care to more acute surgical patients according to their needs.

  • As an AIN in an emergency department in a local hospital, my main duties were observation and monitoring of patients waiting to be seen by a doctor post being triaged and communicating with relevant medical staff, usually the nurses if any deterioration occur whilst patient is awaiting a medical consult. My role also included observing mental health patients with an extensive mental health history that were under a mental health act for various reasons.
