I have been in the field of Early childhood Educator for over 20 years and have been an Educator. Educational Leader and now Assistant Director at the same service since July 2005. Over that time I have completed a Leadership training.


The field of Early Childhood Education is fundamental as the first five years of a child's life sets the foundation for all learning to follow.

I am Currently the Assistant Director s and I the Centre Director in the overall leadership of the Centre

I have established and encourage respectful relationships with families and support the development of the Centre team to maintain high-quality education and care for children.

I am developing my leadership skills to build the capabilities of the Educators and Teachers and support them in making the my centre a safe and engaging place for children, families, and the team.

I embed best practice within the Centre and coach Educators to deliver outstanding performance.

I developing my business administration skills to proactively contribute to the Centre’s performance across all targets.

I work with my Centre Director to ensure your Centre meets, as a minimum, the National Quality Standards (NQS).

In the absence of the Centre Director, I am required to effectively lead and manage the Centre as a Responsible Person

I was Educational leader until start of 2024, were I

Lead the development and implementation of effective educational programs and guide pedagogy and practice across the centre

- Ensure inclusion is evident in all aspects of teaching and learning

- Ensure all children’s learning and development is guided by the Principles, Practices & Learning Outcomes of the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF), other approved learning frameworks if applicable, and the exceeding themes within the National Quality Framework

- Coach educators through observing practice, engaging in guided reflective conversations, and modelling quality inclusive practice with children

- Source team and individual continuous professional development opportunities to build capability

- Nurture a culture of critical reflection within the team to develop reflective practices to build professional knowledge and support continuous improvement

- Lead a room team or undertake a floating role working with children, modelling high quality inclusive pedagogy and practice, and developing the capabilities of educators

- Commit to always maintaining professional work standards, modelling legal and ethical behaviour in accordance with the ECA Code of Ethics, National Quality Standard and, where applicable, the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers.

Before I was Educational Leader I was the lead Educator, working in all age groups within my centre, 6 weeks to 6 years.

As Senior Educator I developed and delivered quality education program and practice and supports all children within the allocated room, to participate in the program applying my expertise in Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF), child development and learning to ensure the room’s program and practice meet or exceed the National Quality Standard.

I coached and supervised my co-educators to deepen their understanding of curriculum and pedagogy, and embed a culture of ongoing reflective practice.

As Senior Educator, I committed to maintaining professional work standards at all times.

The Key deliverables: ‒ Maintain a safe environment for children, families and team members. ‒ Comply with National Quality Standards (NQS) and Goodstart Policies, Procedures and Requirements.

‒ Deliver high quality educational program and practice in collaboration with the Education Leader.
