While I valued the complexity and challenges that the child protection sector offered, especially the opportunity to make an impact on families and young people, I realised that the emotional demands of the role no longer aligned with my personal priorities. I made the decision to shift roles in order to find a balance that allows me to be the mum, partner, and friend I strive to be, while still contributing meaningfully in my profession.
I have experience in both residential youth work and foster care/family intervention, where I’ve had the privilege of building professional relationships with families and the young people under my care. I’ve helped foster a greater willingness in others to consider different perspectives, and engage in more open, meaningful conversation.
I began my career with Accor Hotels in 2014, where my dedication, strong work ethic, and passion quickly led to an offer for permanent residency under an offer of sponsorship, along with a promotion. I thrived in this role, so much so that I returned in 2022 as Assistant Manager, eager to continue contributing to the company's success.
