Summary

Recently completed MSW, with final placement at headspace from January to June 2025. I was a compassionate social work student, gaining experience in both intake and counseling roles, providing support to diverse populations, including both Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, neurodivergent individuals, those identifying as LGBTQI+, individuals with mental health issues, situational conflict, and trauma. Using a range of social work theories and practices, I collaborated with young people and their families to provide strategic and client-goal-focused support, education, and counseling. Being a team player I have demonstrated the ability to make impactful contributions within multidisciplinary teams. I am known for high productivity and efficiently completing tasks with excellent time management skills.   • Provided initial assessment and evaluation of clients to determine their social, psychological, and risk factors to determine suitability for accessing resources at headspace, using a range of social work theories and ensuring trauma-informed practice with a culturally sensitive approach.
  • Complete a risk assessment with clients, and collaborate to create a safety plan suited to the clients' needs using the ASIST model and headspace procedures. Ensure young persons' safety by sharing information with NOK or partners, and discuss it with the headspace supervisor, recording all information in BP.
