After moving from the Sutherland Shire to Wisemans Ferry, I started working at ‘Grub on the Green’ bistro with in the local Bowling Club in Wisemans Ferry, never working in a kitchen before this roll was a little daunting, but I quickly picked it up and was a good kitchen all rounder in no time
I started working at the Special Order’s Desk at Kirrawee Bunnings is the 2nd busiest store in NSW it was a busy, challenging yet satisfying role
Bunnings Kirrawee carried at the time over 80,000 product lines on their shelves and it was my role at Special Orders is to have knowledge of all of them and to source and order in anything else that our customers require, from the correct size sink plug to ‘made to order’ doors & blinds, to new kitchens, bathrooms, garden sheds and boundary fencing
After approximately 12 months I was approached to start training to be a part of the management team, and that’s when I started as a G4 team leader with in the ‘In the Home’ department
I enjoyed my time at Bunnings, learnt a lot and grow as a person and mentor
I joined Strikeforce after returning to the workforce from Maternity Leave, It was a small Merchandising Company, we where servicing around 8 companies within Bunnings, now over 3 years later they have grown and proudly represent over 20 companies. As the company grew so did my product knowledge and responsibilities.
As a Merchandiser it was my role to compete my daily duties as outlined in our online communications. I worked on my own, communication daily with my bosses with phone, email and text.
My role at Motion Technologies grew a lot over the years, I started off with simple front desk reception, but my skills and knowledge within the company grew and therefore, so did my responsibilities.
I became an office all-rounder helping in every area of the company, there was no job that was too big or small, from pick up the post, or freight form customs to maintaining the website and catalogue design
As the Functions & Membership Officer, and general office all-rounder at The Rugby Club
I was the first point of contact with in the club, I’m required to manage my time effectively between answering incoming calls, meeting and greeting members and guests, overseeing the booked functions, booking functions, maintaining the membership data base, distribution invoice and receiving payments, while lending a helping hand throughout the other areas of the Club, including the Dining room and Bar
I have been an active volunteer at Girl Guides for over 3 years
The local community health hub is run by volunteer, I have been a member for over 12 months and elected secretary/treasury at the 2023 AGM.
