Expert Visual Arts teacher who has worked in Catholic Secondary Education for twenty years. I have a competent skill-set in a variety of art-forms such as painting, drawing, printmaking, ceramics, photography, multi-media and design. I have convened courses that are AusVELs and Victorian Curriculum compliant. As a senior teacher, I have been involved in the Teach for Australia program as In-school Mentor and continue to mentor pre-service teachers.
I have an immense passion and enthusiasm for the Visual Arts and pure love for learning in this creative space.
Currently studying diploma of Art Therapy with a keen interest to synergistically blend my expertise as an experienced visual arts educator and my passion for art therapy, ultimately making a meaningful impact on the lives of individuals who are struggling with mental health.
The ability to:
■ Adapt the Victorian Curriculum, VCAA Curriculum and school’s vision to learning and teaching
■ Convene courses that include units of work and assessment tools that allow for student success
■ Confidently utilise Adobe Creative Suite software.

team in the implementation of Victorian Curriculum, curriculum review and mapping
■ Establish goals and a common vision amongst the Visual Arts Learning Team to promote a positive team culture that fosters student engagement
■ Communicate effectively and in a timely manner with the Visual Arts Learning Team, students and parents
■ Oversee the development of course outlines, assessment tools and Course Guide content by course conveners and subject teachers
■ Oversee the effective use of COMPASS as a learning and assessment tool and communication tool
■ Work in cooperation with the Visual Art Learning Team regarding oversight of co-curricula activities
■ Contribute to transition activities such as student assemblies and Parent Information Nights
■ Communicate with staff on issues and concerns about individual student progress and assist in the development of interventions to promote student success
■ Contribute to planning and employment of staff for the Visual Arts Learning Area
■ Oversee the Curation of the annual College’s Art Exhibition
■ Supervise effectively the duties of the Art technician regarding the support of classroom activities and ordering of stock

■ Liaise and network with the College’s feeder Primary schools and community organizations in regards to Visual Arts projects

■ Be responsive to Victorian Curriculum and Assessment Authority policies and procedures and to
distribute information as appropriate to staff and students
■ Oversee practice, school based and VCAA examinations for Years 9, 10, 11 and 12
■ Ensure special provision and special exam arrangements are in place for funded students and those with individual needs
■ Contribute to case management for students with individual needs
■ Liase and communicate with parents and where applicable external agencies when case managing
■ Compile, analyse and disseminate student results as they are made available by the VCAA, with a view to teachers using the results for reflection on practice and development of future learning goals
■ Oversee VCAA VCE audits
■ Prepare budgets
■ Manage time effectively and meet internal and external deadlines
■ Collabratively analyse VCE data with the goal of improving student performance
■ Facilitate the organisation of the calendar of VCE SACS (Coursework) and SATS

■ Liase with the VASS Administrator to ensure correct VCE procedures and administration
■ Assist new staff members in familiarising themselves with the curriculum and requirements at VCE
■ Use coaching strategies to assist VCE teaching staff to support the learning and teaching of the VCE students
