• The Housing Taskforce was established in response to the widespread displacement of disaster impacted people caused by the unprecedented floods of March 2022 on the NSW North Coast
• The Taskforce leads the implementation of temporary accommodation options, including the establishment and management of eleven temporary housing sites, and the delivery of accommodation programs on private properties, including caravans and pod housing
• The Relationship Manager role leads the governance and management of formal partnerships with the Housing Taskforce and delivers on complex stakeholder engagement with the Northern Rivers community, residents, councils, businesses and recovery support services
• A proficiency in working collaboratively with stakeholders has enabled me to build robust, trusted ties with the program's Community Housing Providers to deliver positive outcomes for flood impacted community members

• The Senior Relationship Advisor supports and coordinates the Community Housing provider contracts and outcomes, providing advice and information to stakeholders on emerging project developments across the Northern Rivers Temporary Housing program
• This role works closely with the Relationship Manager and other streams in the Housing Taskforce team to deliver on the best outcomes for the program, and for the flood impacted communities of the Northern Rivers

Highlights:

• Applied valuable experience and knowledge of working in the not-for-profit sector to quickly establish trust and collaboration with Community Housing Providers
• Promoted into the Acting Manager role within weeks of being in place in the Senior Project Officer role.

• The Resilience NSW Partnerships and Engagement team engaged with non-government organisations, industry partners, community groups, small business and other government agencies to deliver on the agency’s purpose of effective disaster preparedness and response
• Focusing on supporting responsible donations management in the 2022 NSW flood events, with a primary focus on the Northern Rivers, involved spending time in flood impacted communities, collaborating with councils, community groups and businesses to ensure donations were managed equitably and sustainably

Highlights:

• Strong community engagement in the Northern Rivers region Established record keeping and reporting mechanisms for donation offerings in the peak of the flood response
• Engaged with diverse groups of stakeholders and networks to identify need and distribute information effectively.

• The Department of Regional NSW is a central agency for regional issues, building resilient regional economies and communities
• This role was positioned within the Strategy and Growth stream of the Regional Programs Unit, which provides high quality strategic support, advice, and coordination across the Regional Programs Branch
• As a Project Officer I was required to assist with the development of briefs, project plans and reviews, coordinating collaborative pieces of work, stakeholder engagement and projects.

• Insurance company IAG and the Australian Red Cross embarked on a 10-year shared value partnership which aimed to use the power and intelligence of both organisations to create more resilient communities
• This role liaised across multiple business units in both organisations to identify and create sustainable co-designed projects to meet the partnership outcomes of building more connected and resilient communities
• Based in the Partnerships Team at Australian Red Cross, the role required liaising and collaborating with IAG’s Safer Communities Team, Australian Red Cross’ Emergency Services department, Community Programs teams and Regional Managers to create programs and activities focused on building resilience within communities

Highlights:

• Development of the Learner Driver Mentor project in Western Sydney, working with Just Reinvest to increase the resilience of First Nations communities living in Western Sydney
• Development of the “Get Prepared “app, helping communities across Australia to be more prepared for disasters.

• Australian Red Cross is a member of the International Red Cross Red Crescent Movement with millions of members and volunteers operating in over 190 countries
• The Community Programs Manager, NSW is responsible for the oversite and continuous improvement of all statewide community programs
• Programs were designed to work with vulnerable populations, those affected by the justice system, the aged population, people with disabilities, newly arrived immigrants, youth, and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities
• Responsible for high level stakeholder engagement, complex reporting and ongoing quality assurance across all programs

Highlights:

• Through stringent audit processes, achieved NDIS accreditation for Red Cross in NSW
• Secured continuation of funding for the Drug and Alcohol harm minimization Save a Mate program from NSW Health
• Successfully guided and supported team through significant organizational changes.

• Managing a suite of state-wide programs including food security initiatives, alcohol and drug harm minimization, recidivism reduction programs, and social inclusion activities, this role required strong and effective communication to work with both internal and external stakeholders across complex program areas to remain within budget and to stay in line with Red Cross’ overall strategic direction
• Highlights: Successfully managed the transition of flagship program, Red Cross Breakfast Clubs, over to Foodbank as per organizational strategic direction
• Secured long term fundraising partnerships for Red Cross Save a Mate Festivals Program

• Northcott is a progressive, non-government organization with a strong history of providing quality services to individuals with a disability and their families
• At the time of working in this role, the disability sector was transitioning through one of the largest social reforms in Australian history, with the introduction of the NDIS
• The Project Manager role provided recommendations for, and implementation of the development of dynamic social participation services across metropolitan Sydney and regional NSW under the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS)
• The service provided support for children and adults with disabilities to access high quality recreation, sports and cultural events, and tourism activities

• Cred Community Planning is a creative and intuitive social planning consultancy creating sustainable and inspiring solutions for communities
• Cred provides social and strategic planning and community building services to Local Government, State Government, the community sector and private agencies
• Engaged across diverse projects as a community engagement consultant to carry out tasks such as: community engagement and consultation, co -facilitation of community /focus groups, and data collection including the high-profile Millers Point social housing impact study for the NSW State Govt.

• The Community Street Soccer Program is an initiative of The Big Issue Australia
• It uses football to positively change lives by reconnecting homeless and marginalized people with the community and providing them with a sense of purpose and belonging
• As the Regional Manager for the east coast of Australia, I was responsible for the management and oversight of eight programs in the A.C.T, NSW and QLD, including some programs delivered within prison environments.
