In my current roll I am a Motivated leader that thrives under pressure and juggling multiple tasks in a high pressure environment.

I am 32 years old, I am 10 years married with 2 kids. Based in Tomakin on the NSW south coast.

I am looking for a part time remote roll that will allow me to continue in my current roll albeit at a vastly reduced capacity as a Builder.

I have chosen to vastly reduced my current working capacity and am currently trading at approximately 10-20% of the peek level of construction achieved in years gone by. I feel that the time is right for me to now focus on sharing my first hand experiences and thoroughly practiced building and construction knowledge with those just starting their journey.

I would be hopeful to still achieve at least one or two days a week hands on with tools to maintain my industry relevance, as I do have quite a passion for what I do.

I am additionally available outside of standard business hours. I myself studied have studied in an online learning environment at my own pace after hours and whilst working full time and the idea of providing training, support and guidance to students currently enrolled in these sorts of courses, that I have a deep and thorough understanding of, I feel would be a exceptional use of my attained skillset that has been accumulated over 18 years in the building and construction industry.

During my time as a licensed Builder working towards establishing, growing, and continually improving a residential new home building and renovation company I have encompassed the rolls of, Project manager, Site supervisor, Leading hand, Estimator, Scheduler, contract administration, dispute resolution and being the main point of contact for the company.

In my current roll as a small/medium business owner my responsibilities are such things as initial customer introduction and relationship building. It is my responsibility to work closely with my clients to ensure their projects get completed on time and on budget to a highly executed level of finish. I have face to face dealings with clients to establish the Scope of works interpretation and implementation. I draft and execute all types of construction contracts with my clients and sub contractors. It is my responsibility to create and implement job specific Safe work method statements for high risk tasks, Job site risk and hazard assessments, I am responsible for creating job specific work health and safety management plans. I initiate and direct toolbox talks from time to time.

I am actively involved in receiving and issuing invoices and accounts. I am knowledgeable and responsible for all general Workers comp, Long service, Payroll, Super contribution rolls.

I take lead in checking all site workers and contractors are correctly licenced and insured. I conduct site inductions, and supervise site visits with clients and visitors. I liaise with various council development departments regularly. I compile all job related documents for all of our development applications. I am fluent with the NSW online planning portal where all submissions for approvals are lodged. I have created working relationships with the Development officers, the Civil and public works engineering team and the environmental and sustainability officers at council. I have close professional working relationships with our private certifiers. I am responsible for booking, attending and addressing all critical stage construction inspections.

I hold eligibility for HBCF policies and it is my responsibility to attain HBCF policies for each of our projects.

I am a registered member of the Master Builders Association. Membership attained in 2014. I regularly attend information nights and trade shows to maintain industry relevance.

I am a frequent user of the BASIX planning tool and am responsible for creating BASIX certificates for all our projects. I am responsible for ensuring construction is compliant with the requirements of the building and sustainability index.

It is my responsibility to relay job specifics and requirements to the structural engineering team, I work with them to ensure the correctly specified construction techniques are employed for each project.

I oversee material ordering and trade scheduling, I am onsite with a nail bag almost every day hands on as the leading hand carpenter.

I have personally employed, managed, trained, mentored and successfully completed 5 carpentry apprentices during my time as a builder.

I have had 2 of these carpenter apprentices and an additional 2 carpenters who didn't do their apprenticeships with me continue on with their employment and studies post apprenticeship with me to achieve their own cert IV in building and construction. I made myself available to guide, assist and offer my own real life experiences to them all through their training via their enrolment in online classroom environments. All 4 completed their studies successfully.

In my time as a builder I have completed 44 new home builds, 2 of which have been 2020 bushfire rebuilds, 4 full house renovations, 1 handicapped public amenities block, 2 swimming pools.

I currently hold a NSW builder licence.

A High risk work license for scaffolding in NSW.

A Heavy rigid Drivers license.

An asbestos awareness card.

A WHS general induction white card.

And I hold a First aid certificate issued by Surf Life Saving Australia.

And have completed 2000 plus hours in each an excavator and bobcat operations
