Achievements Outcomes

  • As part of LOTE (Language Other Than English) program, I had the opportunity to travel and study in Japan. My host family and classmates spoke very little English and were curious about Australian culture and way of life. By using my language skills and pictures, I explained to them about Australia. As a result of my strong communication skills and adaptability, I was able to build trust and confidence with my host family and classmates.
  • Whilst working at Betty’s Burgers, I attended to a family who wanted to dine in. I engaged with them in a friendly chat and gave them a table of their preference. I made sure they received their order as quickly as possible. As a result, I was able to provide the customer with a good client experience.
  • During the pandemic a customer asked me to help find their digital Covid vaccine certificate. I actively listened to all their queries with empathy. I guided them to google and helped her to register for a myGov account and helped them link their Medicare account. As a result, the customer was able to successfully login to Medicare and view her Covid digital certificate.
  • As a customer service officer, I work in a fast-paced environment at Betty’s Burger. One day when I was serving customers, my manager asked me if I could help in the kitchen as one of the staff on duty fell sick. I used my personal cooking expertise to help in the kitchen and worked effectively with the Chef. As a result of my positive attitude, my team was able to successfully deliver the order on time.
  • Whilst working as a customer consultant at Telstra Southland, I encountered a customer who wanted to purchase the most expensive phone in stock (Samsung Z fold). Whilst performing a routine ID check of his driver’s license through Scantek, the validation was unsuccessful and was proven to be a fake license. I immediately informed my manager and returned the License to the customer as per usual in order to make the interaction seem as normal as any other interaction. My manger quickly informed the local police as I continued to stall the customer by interacting with him about his phone options, whilst the police were soon to arrive. After what seemed a normal interaction, the police arrived and arrested the man with the fake license.
