Joel Fairclough

My name is Joel, 35 years old with a small family of 5. I am currently working FIFO for Rio Tinto mining but due to our new addition to the family I want to come back to residential for few years,, for Rio I was a level 3 dozer op doing anything from contour work for a drill pattern, pushing out ramps to open locations or looking after dump locations pushing to a RL and push to lines run through minestar gps, outside of machines for rio my duties were as development 3 coordinator looking after all the machines an operators to do with development dozers, graders, loaders ect wile holding safety for me and everyone around me in high regard by acting with integrity and leading by example. My experience in the civil industry extends around 10 - 15 years, started in my family business for 5-6 years fresh out of school, I was the leading hand for 2 of those years. Our main duties included small site clean ups, two large bulk out subdivisions, over the years I have gained experience on posi track and skid steer bobcats. With various attachments, excavators from 1.5t – Hitachi 5600 , open wheeled loaders, trucks, bulldozers water carts, haul trucks, compactors etc I also have experience in bulk out earth works land clear forestry, grinding green waist, screening, crushing, quarry work and logistics. I’m very mechanically minded and can recognize most mechanical faults and failures, I am very mindful with machine pre starts, maintenance and housekeeping. I’m a skilled worker and take pride in anything I do. To achieve this, I ensure all scopes and aspects of the job are up to date and safe. I try to complete any task to the highest standard I can.
