Work History

Owner/Director

Tosche Station Toys
Marsfield, NSW
09.2025 - Current
  • While i established my business name in Sept 2021 and became a registered business in 2023, I have been buying/selling/brokering toys and Collectibles for almost 12 years, specialising, but not exclusive to, the Star Wars Franchise.
  • Over this time, thousands of domestic and international sales were (and continue to be) achieved via the creation and management of multiple Facebook groups, specialising in the production of live Facebook auctions. Furthermore, weekly sales posts were published and managed across these platforms between scheduled live auctions to increase stock turnover.
  • My business thrives on constant, yet genuine communication via phone, email and text messaging. Like Lawson's, no customer or consignment client is the same, which has always required me to adjust my service approach on the fly.
  • These communication interactions are daily. They cover topics such as, but not exclusive to, invoicing, upcoming stock promotion, but most importantly, framing the interaction in a personal context ("how's the collection coming along?", "how nice was that piece you got from me?!, "How's the family going?" etc). I'd like to think that this emphasis on treating communication as not just a transactional process has helped established me as a known and well-trusted collectibles seller/auctioneer in Australia and overseas.
  • Back of house invoicing, stock management and acquisition has all been run by me since day one using one laptop and Microsoft Office. Going through emails, replying to enquires and following up on business opportunities on a daily basis has made me strongly proficient at these activities.
  • After running hundreds of successful live auctions (95% of them solely), I consider myself seasoned in the auction industry, its operation and the process of valuing items. It's also through these auction productions, the ability to think on my feet and multi-task has become second-nature, managing the ebbs and flows of multiple lots/bids over 3-6 hour periods.

Hospitality

Multiple
04.2017 - Current
  • I have been working in the hospitality industry since I was 18, covering all facets of the business at all levels (café/venue manager, corporate hospitality, floor manager, waiter, barista, etc.)
  • My ability to appropriately communicate and manage multiple issues at any time in my business has primarily come from this hospitality backbone.
  • In between my own business, I currently help manage a cafe in Hunter's Hill (Dachshund Coffee) a few days a week.
  • While I want the bulk of my CV to focus on my business, i am happy to provide more detailed information if needed on any particular hospitality roles per request.
