  • Collaborated on large scale Healthcare and Sporting Facility commercial projects, including Class 5 Radiology Fit-Out projects, Class 9 Cosmetic Surgery Operating Theatre Projects, Class 9 Intensive Care Units, Class 9 CSSD facilities, Class 9 Day Procedure Centres and an extension to a Mixed Use Sporting Events Stadium.
  • Set up and participated in complex discipline co-ordination meetings throughout the design process, including meetings with Services Engineers (Hyd, Elec, Mech, Fire), Healthcare Equipment Lenders (Philips, Siemens), Project Control Groups, and Structural Engineers.
  • Fully detailed interior design of commercial floor/ceiling layouts, individual room layouts, Reception/Waiting spaces, modality rooms, and common areas.
  • Used the resources from the Australasian Health Facility Guidelines to produce layouts of compliant class 9 healthcare buildings. This included creating a schedule of accommodation for AIP applications in conjunction with the Department of Health.
  • Managed project workflows, providing deadlines for checklist items to external consultants, as well as internal team members.
  • Used Revit to model building structures, fire rated walls systems, advanced reception desk designs, and provide detailed accurate documentation.
  • Used Revit to provide a template for the use of the architectural studio, including, but not limited to general and site specific notes for class 2-9 buildings, keynote master files, basic room and furniture layouts for specific rooms, preset doors and windows, a comprehensive named and edited family library, wash hand basin groups, material tags, shared parameter files, a Revit generated drawing Register, transmittal document sheet, door schedule, window schedule, MFFE Schedule as well as contributing to the firms Revit policies document.
  • Assisted the client throughout the tender and construction process. Amended drawings throughout the construction process, and reviewed builder variations.

  • Designed and documented residential extensions, new dwellings, multi-unit developments, offices, warehouses and sports facility centres.
  • Worked on large Heritage Overlay residential extensions.
  • Gained a broad understanding of various planning schemes, having co-ordinated the planning for large projects through council.
  • Worked with a structural engineer in house, and co-ordinated operations with energy raters, independent town planners and other professionals throughout the design process.
  • Took jobs from the initial measure up all the way through to working drawings.
  • Communicated with the clients throughout the design process to ensure an agreeable outcome.
  • Compared designs against residential code standards to ensure compliances with site specific criteria.
  • Created templates for AutoCAD in the architectural studio, including but not limited to general gotes for class 1 and 10 buildings, as well as general notes for class 2-9 buildings, a detailed examples page with a full block library, drawing methodology and standard line weights to use.
