Upon my part time return to the Bragg Institute in 2014 I continued and maintained my full time responsibilities as the User Office Liaison Officer which included the same responsibilities as my previous role up until 2016 when the Bragg Institute became ACNS at which point project forge was created. Throughout the process of project forge I was met with many organsational changes not limited to but including changes to our daily processes and major changes to the way in which we brought Facility Users on site.

  • I created (SOP’s) for the User Office Team to document the new processes which included learning & adapting the HR Onboarding Portal to be the main stream for onboarding Facility Users for access to site
  • I worked with the HR Onboarding Team to develop a range of position numbers that reflect the nature of the attendees business with ANSTO
  • Manage HR Onboarding process for all ACNS/ARP Facility Users, AINSE Scholarship recipients, event attendees, Neutron School, IAEA courses etc
  • Manage proposal round for merit and other proposals requesting access to ANSTO’s facilities and capabilities. Proposal review processes; transfer outcomes to portal(s) and communicate outcomes to users
  • PAC Review Committee organisation, catering, room bookings, agenda, security access for attendees
  • First point of contact and liaison for users visiting ANSTO facilities. Manage VISA Letter process & proposal attendance
  • Updates to the User Access page on the web ensuring the website contains relevant and up to date information for users. Copy writing for MailChimp broadcasts to the User & Review community
  • Maintained detailed records of all interactions with clients, ensuring accurate documentation for future reference or dispute resolution purposes.
  • Weekly reporting to Security to ensure user access is in place for the scheduled proposal visit

I started at ANSTO in the Bragg Institute as a User Office Liaison Officer.. As the User Office Liaison Officer, my position was to provide support to Bragg Institute’s customers (internal and external) to facilitate smooth administration of their access to ANSTO including the proposal process and ANSTO Security applications

  • Reporting to the Scientific Coordinator the role was focused on servicing of the Bragg Institute internal and external customers and providing a service to the staff within the Institute
  • First point of contact regarding user queries
  • Liaise with ANSTO Security regarding applications Escorting to and from ANSTO Security
  • Assist the Scientific Coordinator with the administration of the proposal process, scheduling of experiments, inviting users using the Bragg Institute’s web portal, and liaise with AINSE accordingly
  • Assist in the supervision of a Trainee when required
  • Manage Bragg Institute’s recruitment and user process by organising inductions and new starters’ paperwork for computer access, security etc to support the Human Resource function and the Bragg User Office requirements within the Bragg Institute. Maintain and update the training database for all Bragg Staff and Users
  • Updating and maintaining Bragg Institute’s ‘external’ web using content management tools and new web technologies, including proactively identifying layout, navigation and graphic improvements
  • Producing posters and other promotional material for workshops and conferences, including providing administrative support for any events organised by the Bragg Institute
