  • Manage a caseload of GEH tenancies, including Government-owned dwellings and private head leased (PHL) properties, to ensure all obligations under the Acts.
  • Property inspections in accordance with legislative requirements and standard operating procedures.
  • Identifying and reporting maintenance within NTG or the property owner, including follow ups to ensure timely completion.
  • Escalation of issues for resolution such as tenancy compliance matters or response to complaints.
  • Preparation of PHL documentation including Memorandums for the CEO of Housing, Agency requests and ownership title registers.
  • Providing agencies or tenants with tenancy documentation (agreements) and ensuring lease agreements are in place, as well as provision of welcome information packs to inform tenant/agency responsibilities in managing the tenancy.
  • Develop and maintain strong, positive relationships with employees/tenants, NTG representatives including in Managers and Senior Managers in client agencies, as well as external stakeholders including property owners, contractors and real estate agents.
  • Travel to remote communities in Barkly region including off road driving.

Vetting Officer
