  • Externally, he was a senior consultant and lead for the AcronymIT software validation and cyber security practices. With specialist skills in software licensing, compliance, and software asset management, David has worked with the Australian Government to deliver a wide range of diverse cost-reduction strategies, compliance services (audit and verification), and innovative licence aggregation offerings. In a software managed services contract alone, with the Department of Prime Ministers & Cabinet, we saved the PM&C in excess of $160,000 per annum for over 10 years.

David’s involvement with AcronymIT from early 2000 saw him involved in all aspects of the company’s growth and service delivery. David worked in the development of simple quotation preparation, through myriads of different Federal Government procurement contracts and panel arrangements, to more recent times where the company was responding to large niche tenders for solutions offering cyber licensing and services integration with ongoing support services. David has extensive experience working with Government IT procurement. Specifically, the Commonwealth Procurement Rules (CPR’s) and policies over the last 35 years, CPR’s that currently sit under the procurement framework of the Public Governance, Performance and Accountability Act 2013 (PGPA Act). Put simply, these rules look to ensure Commonwealth procurement delivers best value for money whilst also demonstrating the highest standards of ethics, probity and integrity. Amongst other things, Government procurement process looks to enhance and protect both First Nations business and Small to Medium Enterprises, in the face of ubiquitous multi-national offerings.

Established the Adobe Whole of Government aggregated procurement contract, covering 20+ smaller federal agencies and saving in excess for $250,000 annually.
