Apprentice Machine Fitter

During my time at a Austbore I contributed to fitting processes, machining, milling, drilling, mig welding and Q&A.

• Developed a basic understanding of lathe machining Producing Precise pins and bush's to specification
• Operated overhead cranes in simple matters; moving, flipping and coordinating
• Learned the basics of using a mig welder; pad welding, plug and fabrication
• Assisted in training new team members on proper machine operation, maintenance procedures, and safety guidelines.

Apprentice Line Boring

In the early half of 2024 I narrowed my learning to line boring focusing on on-site machining and welding bores on-site

• I Learned basic setups and structures, using calipers, Levels and leveraging pythagoras
• Completed simple jobs welding and machining bores to specification
• Worked with experienced peers
• Used and applied Nitrogen fitting bushes on-site
• Worked on the components of machinery and extensively with Dozers, Graders, Loaders, Water trucks, and Haul trucks. I've also done the occasional oddballs and fabrications jobs
