I have many years’ experience in the civil engineering and construction industry in Australia and South Africa. My expertise covers most aspects of the civil engineering field, including site and project management, tender preparation, infrastructure design, feasibility studies and client relationship management, with particular expertise in estimating for major urban infrastructure and rail projects in the mining industry. With a long history of achievement, I offer a wide range of skills, together with the flexibility, drive and desire to apply them with an employer offering a challenging work environment, either on a contract, fixed term or permanent employment basis. I have specialist skills in estimating all types of construction, including : Rail, Rail Communications, Earthworks, highways and roads, stormwater, water reticulation, sewers, pump stations, bridges, waste disposal facilities, commercial structures, offices, shopping malls and domestic housing.

• Extensive estimating, tendering, project management, contract administration and supervisory experience in major urban infrastructure, commercial, industrial and residential projects, and in the mining industry. I have been the construction manager on approximately 700km of roads and 900 domestic houses during my career. Regarded by some as one of the best earthworks estimators around.
• Specialist first principle civil estimating experience – earthworks, rail, roads (MRWA and Africa), multi-storey buildings, bridges, communications, sewer, water, concrete structures, stormwater and drill and blast.
• Proven ability to think laterally, analyse and solve site, design and construction-related problems and deliver projects to safety, quality, cost, time and compliance standards
• Adaptable, collaborative team player – able to make a strong contribution in cross-functional teams
• Excellent communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills at all levels and across cultures – staff, peers, contractors, clients, senior management and all stakeholders
