With over 28 years as a Professional Jockey and a seasoned Jockey Coach Assessor at Racing and Waging WA, I excel in developing peak performance training programs and enhancing riding techniques. Renowned for my leadership and effective communication, I've significantly contributed to the horse racing community, ensuring fair play and the well-being of jockeys and horses alike.
Experienced Jockey Coach with a comprehensive background in horse racing, specialising in training and mentoring jockeys to achieve peak performance. Proven track record of developing individualised training programs. Improving riding techniques, and foster culture of discipline and sportsmanship. Dedicated to ensuring the safety and well-being of both jockeys and horses.
In my ongoing role within the horse racing community, I am regularly sought out by both jockeys and race day officials for consultation on various incidents, particularly those related to protests and interference during races. My expertise and experience are instrumental in assisting individuals to provide clear and comprehensive evidence, contributing to the determination of outcomes in these situations.
A notable aspect of my involvement is in regional race meetings where the number of stewards may be insufficient. In these cases, I actively collaborate with the steward in charge of the meeting to conduct investigations and adjudicate on protests and inquiries. This not only ensures that these processes are handled effectively but also serves as a means for me to stay current with the latest developments and challenges within the racing community.
By actively participating in these consultations and regional race meetings, I continue to play a significant role in upholding the integrity of horse racing. My commitment to assisting in the resolution of incidents and providing valuable insights contributes to the fair and transparent functioning of the sport, while also allowing me to remain informed and up-to-date with the evolving landscape of racing regulations and protocols.
On a contract basis assisted MTC in creating fitness programs, optimizing riding techniques. Mechanical horse tuition and representing apprentices the local apprentices on racedays. Reviewing race replays with the apprentices to improve technique and develop strategies of race riding.
