Its purpose was to act as a state-of-the-art facility for the management and control of fires across the region, The new offices provided the South West Slopes Zone state-of-the-art facilities to continue providing support to the community, as well as better supporting members during incidents and by providing enhanced training capabilities.

As the Project Officer, I was responsible for the successful delivery of civil construction and completion of buildings by ensuring labour, subcontractors, equipment, and material were effectively managed. Duties included but are not limited to:

• Forecasting and programming,
• Assist with risk analysis and planning, review risks and execute risk-control activities and contribute to assessing risk management outcomes,
• Determining the building envelope expectations and assessing energy efficiency construction,
• Prepare to lead workplace relationships and lead workplace relationships,

• My title was a Finishing Foreman and I worked on delivering a Childcare Centre- The Avenues, at Manly. On this project, I was entailed to:
• Move the Project Program forward with milestones,
• Promote safety first and was happy to be involved in all aspects of safety from participation in Project Risk Assessments to monitoring the delivery of mobile plant and assisting in site inductions and orchestrating Cranage moves,
• Supervised works in partnership with the subcontractors to ensure that planned activities were being constructed in accordance with safety, documentation, quality and program
• Attention to detail and a drive to achieve exceptional results, and
• A genuine desire to getting the project including services fully commissioned for the client to start operations, as they, where some 3 plus months behind in trading.

I commenced as a Contractor with Lahey Constructions. My title was Site Foreman and I delivered a refurbished hall, Block 4- The Hub, at Wauchope Primary Public School. This started with the removal of Asbestos external and internal linings which had been done to Hygienist methodology, and then Contractors could start with demolishing existing walls, flooring and terminate services.

• Inspected all scaffold erections for condition and compliance with standards
• Supervised team of 8-10 professionals completing painting work for commercial client
• On this project, I enabled to:
• Promote safety first and was happy to be involved in all aspects of safety from participation in Project Risk
• Assessments to monitoring the delivery of mobile plant and assisting in site inductions and reviewing SWMS
• Supervised works in partnership with the subcontractors to ensure that planned activities were being constructed in accordance with safety, documentation, quality and program
• Attention to detail and a drive to achieve exceptional results, and
• A genuine desire to continue learning and developing new skills, embracing advanced construction techniques, new materials and technology.

I commenced as a Contractor with JLL Property Development Services. Title was Site Manager and I delivered office refurbishments for Department of Human Services offices in the Sydney Metropolitan Area and three (3) regional Offices- Charlestown, Port Macquarie and Coffs Harbour over two weekends on each project site, which started with demolishing existing walls, flooring and terminate services. This all had to be completed by Monday Morning ready for Centrelink officials to resume their services. Process went as follows:

• Produced a dilapidation report before works could proceed,
• Ensuring mandatory inspection and minor works are completed in compliance with safety requirements and within budget,
• Initiating action and processes to prevent the occurrence of unsafe incidents,
• Supervising external contractors performance to ensure optimal productivity, and
• Certifying the integrity of completed projects, including providing Progress Reports.
• Delivered vital safety information in preconstruction meetings with contractors and subcontractors and complied with established safety standards during pre and final inspections of construction projects.
• Actively communicated with crew and responded effectively to all questions, helping to build positive working environment for all.
• Verified completed projects met approved time, quality and cost estimates.
• Communicated daily with vendors to keep project fully operational.
• Managed subcontractor personnel activity and team resources to meet all project requirements.

Department of Transport. (Sydney Trains), Alexandria HO. I came on this project to finish it off as the project started in February, 2017. I was able to:

• Liaised with different trades regarding organizing them when they were to come in and provide their services
• Help and documented the internal set out of the project
• Involved in structural works on the roof (Plant Room) and finishing works including quality control
• Organising high level works- approx.10 to 12 metres above slab height
• Working closely with the Services Engineers and Service managers, in order for subcontractors to close off works and finish of ITP's.

My main duties included:-

• Initiating action and processes to prevent the occurrence of unsafe incidents,
• Identifying and record any safety issues,
• Opening and closing out work orders to reflect the tasks,
• Ensuring mandatory inspection and minor works are completed in compliance with safety requirements and within budget,
• Supervising external contractors performance to ensure optimal productivity,
• Certifying the integrity of completed projects,
• Determining appropriate resource allocation including personnel, plant and material prioritization,
• Responding to situations as required,
• Ensuring safety checks are completed and appropriate documentation is maintained,
• Control the security and condition of items for use on approved work orders to minimize the opportunity for improper use of material held in store
• Assigned plumbers to specific tasks to complete and supervised activities for quality
• Supervised installation, maintenance and repair of plumbing systems and related appurtenances

I worked on the Equinox Data Centre, in Silverwater on a 6 month contract as a General Foreman. I was involved in:

• Helping plant engineers develop solutions.
• Ordered necessary supplies and materials required for installation of new work and remodeling of existing systems.
• Supervised installation, maintenance and repair of plumbing systems and related appurtenances.
• Complied with all company regulations in terms of safety to prevent accidents on job sites.
• Obtained permits and organized supplies for each job.
• Inspected work for compliance with applicable regulations and job specifications.
• Completed daily logs and weekly progress reports.
• Liaised between field engineers and trade workers align construction projects with drawings and specifications.
• Updated logs and reported on job progress.

The new Bupa Aged Care Facility, , Ashfield/Hurlstone Park. This was a New Build Aged Care Facility, which included underground carpark below the new five (5) level apartment blocks.

This involved civil and structural works and finishing off the apartment blocks. It also included

• Assisting services providers for the relocation of existing services, as the site was still being used as a residential home by patrons,
• Checking off all drawings, including RL's so that the near completion of one building, meant we could move onto starting the next on, where civil works was already completed.
• I liaised with different trades regarding organizing them when they were to come in and provide their services.
• I assisted with the set out for the project including finishing works.
• Produced ITP's for all trades in order for units to be commissioned off, so that residents could be moved into them.
• I also was involved in organising appropriate resource allocation including personnel, plant and material prioritization,
• Maintenance of tools, materials and equipment,
• Checking and Optimising infrastructure performance and availability,
• Responding to situations as required,
• Ensuring safety checks are completed and appropriate documentation is maintained.

I was working on the Parramatta City Council, Rydalmere Depot as Leading Hand and Foreman. On this project, the Site Manager got me involved in the:

• Civil works, including and setting out the drainage lines and formation of pits and setting out the external retaining walls,
• Façade works on this building including rectifying faults and organising vertical lifts and scaffolding including placement of Loading docks for materials to be landed and installed, internally.
• Maintained zero site accidents and lost work days.
• Established clear priorities and production quality standards.
• Interacted with subcontractors to demonstrate high standards and mitigate issues effectively.
• Evaluated production levels, quality standards and maintenance actions to identify and address operational problems and maintain targets.

I was asked to do the fit out of a new wet research laboratory at Macquarie University, F9C.

• I liaised with different trades regarding organizing them when they were to come in and provide their services.
• I was involved in the set out for the project including checking that all services where roughed in, water, electrical, mechanical and medical gases.
• Attended on-site meetings with subcontractors and clients per month.
• Established clear priorities and production quality standards.
• Reviewed project details to specify correct materials and equipment for job sites.
• Handled all issues with relative ease by implementing best practices and applying critical thinking skills to find best solutions.
• Interacted with employees to demonstrate high standards and mitigate issues effectively.
• Assessed quality control report data from PM to monitor and detect issues with quality of final products.
• Also completed this project with minimal defects in 6 weeks.

I was involved in shop fit outs and refurbishments which started from demolition to handover of all four tenancies.It included working closely with project managers and individual trades, so as to ensure that the final product was delivered on time and on budget and most importantly, to the clients satisfaction. The William Sonoma Group, I was a Night Foreman, with all works being done during this time as projects were in Chatswood Chase shopping centre. I also had to:

Sydney Building Projects, Macquarie University, NSW .

I commenced with Sydney Building Projects Pty Ltd as a Carpenter/Leading Hand before being appointed as a Foreman/Site Supervisor. I was involved with Lecture Rooms refurbishments which started from demolition to handover of the project. This involved working closely with project managers and individual trades to provide an exceptional eye for detail, so as to ensure that the final product is delivered on time and on budget and most importantly, to the clients satisfaction. Two x Lecture theatres at Macquarie University, Building E7B. Full refurbishment of two lecture theatres, including framework for joinery, building stairs, shaft wall system at the back of both lecture theatres and installation and building new entry doors, etc.
