Summary

I am a strategic and collaborative leader with a strong background in health policy development, preventive health, and population health initiatives. As a proud member of the LGBTQIA+ and disability communities, I bring a diverse perspective to my work. Over the past five years at the University of Canberra, I have served as the Business Development Manager for the Health Research Institute, where I have successfully led efforts to enhance research partnerships and secure funding from various sources, including state, federal, and territory governments, as well as charitable organizations and industry partners.

In my current role, I have demonstrated my ability to provide strategic leadership and policy advice on emerging health issues, manage complex projects, and engage with a wide range of stakeholders. My experience includes developing and implementing strategic plans, managing budgets, and leading teams to achieve organizational goals. I have a proven track record in project management, stakeholder engagement, and contract negotiation, which has enabled me to drive significant improvements in health research and policy outcomes.

I am excited about the opportunity to bring my expertise in preventive and population health to the ACT Health Directorate. I am confident that my skills in strategic planning, policy development, and team leadership will contribute to the Directorate's mission of improving health outcomes for the ACT community. I look forward to discussing how I can support the Directorate in achieving its goals and advancing public health initiatives.
