Main duties include

• Following processes to load/unload heavy rigid vehicles and ensure loads secured to protect contents, with a focus on safety regulations.

• Vehicle maintenance – servicing and repairs.

• Reporting to supervisors on activities and operations, with consideration of the ‘fix, sustain and improve' framework.

• Leading and instructing team members on the operation and safe use of MHE (material handling equipment).

• Working alongside civilian contractors to achieve project objectives.

• Contribute to maintaining professional skills and accountability.

• Team building and physical conditioning to defence standards.

• Participation in field exercises for extended periods of time.

• Resourcing and logistics planning for equipment and machinery.

• Maintain issued stores, equipment and resources in often difficult and demanding work conditions.

• Comply with mandated policies, directives, governance requirements, standard operating procedures and work instructions.

During my time in the Army I have gained valuable insight to people and

myself, and have welcomed opportunities for diverse experiences. I have participated in community programs interstate and been involved in large-scale exercises and emergency assistance efforts.
