Contracts and Compliance Officer - Buildings and Facilities

Position Purpose: To manage and oversee contractual work within the Buildings and Facilities sector, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.

Key Responsibilities and Outcomes:

• Maintaining Contractual Work: Oversee and manage contracts to ensure they are executed according to agreed terms and conditions.
• Reporting: Prepare and present detailed reports on contract performance, compliance issues, and project progress to stakeholders.
• Documentation: Keep accurate and up-to-date records of all contractual documents, amendments, and communications to ensure transparency and accountability.
• Awarding Contracts to Suppliers: Evaluate bids and proposals from suppliers, negotiate terms, and award contracts to the most suitable vendors based on criteria such as cost, quality, and reliability.
• Facilitating Works: Coordinate with various departments and contractors to ensure that all contractual obligations are met, and that projects are completed on time and within budget.
• Compliance Monitoring: Ensure all contractual activities comply with relevant laws, regulations, and organizational policies.
• Stakeholder Communication: Maintain effective communication with stakeholders, building positive relationships and ensuring their needs and concerns are addressed.

• Went to Centennial Park, learning about the drainage systems
• I went to Botany Bay and learnt about the aeroplane runways constructed and the tribars constructed
• I've been to a construction site learning about how they construct the certain building they are repairing
• I also went to learn about the underground Sydney Metro project
• I learnt about sustainable waste management and along with that, I have also discovered water engineering with constructing dams and river management
• I went and learnt about surveying and surveyed the Sydney Opera House and finishing with Surveying a bridge when certain amounts of people are on
• I finished up with report writing each day

• I had assisted in sheering wool in the woolshed
• I helped with pressing down the wool and afterwards putting bales of wool on the truck
• I help with sheep feed and grains and also riding in a truck and tractor with the driver transporting the stock
• I had assisted with feeding the sheep and cattle in their troughs and opened the gates for the driver to go across
• I had next gone drenching sheep and had finished up with fencing
