I have successfully completed the following course at South Metropolitan Tafe,
Cert 2 in Autonomous Workplace Operations,
and
Cert 2 Pre Apprenticeship in Heavy Duty Diesel
at Thornlie Tafe on June 26th 2023.
I am currently employed at Howard Porter in Bibra Lake originally as a Trade Assistant and now as an Apprentice in vehicle Body Building which I have now commenced.
Previously to this I was employed whilst still at school on a permanent Part time basis (15 hours a week) at Repco as a Sales Assistant, learning Parts Interpretation on the job, along with all the online safety and training courses provided by Repco.
Prior to my employment at Repco, I worked most weekends on the family charter boat as a deckhand and serving the guests, maintaining safety procedures and quality service. Also at the local stockfeeders, assisting with sweeping the sheds, loading heavy feed bags into clients cars, restocking shelves and serving customers.
My strengths are friendly customer service, being a team player, focus of safety procedures and willingness to learn, develop skills, and challenge myself.
I am a hardworking and passionate job seeker with strong organizational skills eager to secure an Apprenticeship in Heavy Duty Diesel Mechanics.
I would like to work in the area of mechanical engineering, fitting, servicing or maintenance, fixed plant or mobile.
I am available to begin my apprenticeship anytime and enrol for the second intake of 2024.
I would like to complete my Trade Qualification and remain employed within the same company for the longevity of my career.
I have a very strong support network around me to provide reliable transport for the next 4 months to attend a tertiary campus and the workplace until such time as I can obtain a manual license.
I live with my family on 5 acres in Banjup (near Byford) or I have accommodation in Halls Head Mandurah.
I live within a reasonable distance and see no issues with the location , hours or job role.
I have a natural flair and keen interest in anything mechanical.
I have grown up assisting family on farming machinery, boat engines, rebuilding classic cars and generally pulling things apart and putting back together.
I have a Diesel Mechanic ( Father), Auto Electrician (Uncle) and Fitter and Turner ( Grandfather) in the family and from their teachings I have found my passion.
I would love to one day work any where nationally or internayionally that my company of Employment offers me.
Furthermore, I have spent time doing work placement and work experience with companies such as
WA Limestone, Kais Hire and my local mechanic.
I felt that the work place culture was professional and safe and team oriented which is important to me.

Further to my application
My current apprenticeship is one that I enjoy, however I am not satisfied that it is in the area of my passion and would like to secure a Trade Assistant position leading to an Apprenticeship in Heavy Duty diesel or straight into an Apprenticeship as soon as possible, I feel that Vehicle Body Building is not my life long career and I would be missing out on the opportunity to follow my passion.
I would be very grateful to secure a position with in the Byrnecut Group.
