As a croupier and table games supervisor, it is my responsibility that the games under my control are running both smoothly and lawfully. The casino industry is heavily monitored by the Australian Government (OLGR) and the surveillance team that operate at The Ville, who we work hand-in-hand with to assure the patrons are having an enjoyable and fair experience when playing table games.
As a supervisor, I am responsible for up to 9 tables at a time; monitoring players and dealers, checking bets and payouts, and assuring that the high standards of The Ville Resort and Casino are being met at all times. Supervising both the main floor, and our Orpheus VIP room, I am trusted with the responsibility of millions of dollars worth of cash and chips - and assuring that large bets of up to $30,000 are being acted on and paid correctly at all times.
I find the skills that I have developed whilst working in table games, such as leadership, teamwork, problem solving, and the ability to work under pressure, have helped me majorly in my everyday life as well as my professional life as well.
