Responsibilities:

  • Organise, develop and oversee complete operation of the activities department with a focus on general customer tours, Outdoor education programs including the Duke of Edinburgh award and corporate groups. Activities include kayaking, abseiling, team building, bushwalking, laser skirmish and quad biking with a yearly turn over of approx 175,000 guests.
  • Develop/maintain strong relationships with clients to build loyalty and repeat business.
  • Actively cultivate a team culture that is inspired, passionate and committed to providing the highest levels of customer satisfaction and safety whilst using professional business practices to plan and lead the operations of our activities department.
  • Regular industry training, safety inductions and code of conduct sign offs for approx 60 staff.
  • Monitor budget, staff wages and expenditures within the department.
  • Work directly with other departments of the business to ensure all operations, events and maintenance are coordinated.
  • Handle all complaints/conflicts from customers and staff in a timely and professional manner.
