I have proven to be a reliable, team-orientated, committed, and enthusiastic worker. I have demonstrated a keen ability for fault finding and problem-solving throughout my careers, especially working at CEA in the electronics field. I am adaptable and motivated, looking to finished my training as an Electronics Apprentice and possibly pursue further study. I am seeking employment in a new environment that will allow me to diversify my skillset and gain further professional experience.
My current role as an apprentice electronics technician at CEA technologies is multi-faceted. It involves working under engineers and other technicians to research, develop, build, and integrate radar systems aiding in Australian and Commonwealth Defence capabilities. During the apprenticeship I have rotated around many departments throughout the company allowing me to gain a broad knowledge-base and skillset. Some of these include but are not limited to:
-Soldering, including testing, replacing, and repairing components.
-Cable making, looming and conductivity testing.
-Small assembly of send/receive antennae tiles, power supply units, system controllers etc.
-Large assembly and integration of all components including power racks, master equipment racks and cooling systems to create the finished product.
-Basic knowledge of send/receive systems testing under guidance of experienced technicians.
-Demonstrated and eagerness to learn by asking questions and seeking clarification when necessary.
Working at Southern Hose as a Quality Control Officer involved interpreting and implementing quality assurance standards in regards to products, materials, production of fitted hose, and the maintenance of tools, plant and machinery.
Some duties include but were not limited to:
-Working in collaboration with the manager to develop and implement quality assurance policies and procedures.
-Conducted evaluations to identify weak areas and identify problematic issues while promoting corrective methods.
-A lead role in hose fitting for breweries and beverage companies.
-Sales and customer enquiries
-Warehouse maintenance, procedures, and stock adjustments.
-Improved WHS and manufacturing processes by identifying areas of inefficiency and recommending corrective actions.
At John McGrath Auto Group I was working towards a Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology. In this role in the automotive industry, I gathered skills including:
-The ability to service, diagnose and repair light vehicles
-Communication and customer service in the auto industry
-Workshop maintenance and mechanical WHS procedures
- Assisted senior mechanics with complex repairs, gaining hands-on experience and improving technical skills.
-Made basic repairs to cars and other vehicles, asking questions, and taking notes to increase personal knowledge.
-Took assessments to prove knowledge base and skills.
-Observed senior mechanics completing major repairs.
