Joseph Simanu

I was very fortunate to be part of various Bands and Duos , Trios with different genres, backgrounds and styles. All of which gave me the opportunity to grow my craft. I had been with many bands over the years and have experiences with how to work alongside many different personalities and backgrounds.

Was very honoured to had performed with Sir Howard Morrison, Dennis Marsh and a few other New Zealand treasures as a Backing Vocalist which taught me a lot about stagecraft and the structure of harmonizing. Coming from a very Choir based background with church it was a great foundation.

I was one of the Pianists for our Youth Groups and Sunday School choirs growing up. then later in recent years accompanying my fellow students in our Music performances

In school being part of the ensembles in musicals and operas ( eg Pirates Of Penzance ) and also performing in various talent competitions with School and Church Choirs . Most recently being part of Tafe Ultimo NSW Choir for Reconciliation week

Accompanying with my Father in Church services for Youth Groups and Adult Choirs. It was/ is my Father who took me to my Piano Classed and my Mother being head Soprano in our choirs taught showed me how to listen to other voices and work with pitch and timing.
