  • My role is to improve programs and accessibility for those living with poor mental health and suicidality that is most often associated with psychosocial challenges in the workplace
  • Duties include: Conduct research and provide evidence-based recommendations in suicide prevention and mental health and wellbeing to guide and implement change across OzHelp Foundation’s suite of service streams and programs, ensuring best practice and continuous quality improvement
  • Strategize with service streams and OzHelp broadly to increase equity and enhance diversity and inclusion (e.g., evaluate the organisation against the National Standards for Mental Health Services 2010 in preparation for accreditation, using different frameworks)
  • Provide clinical advice about equitable psychosocial wellbeing and suicide prevention to a multidisciplinary team to team to support individual client mental health and escalation of care as required
  • Provide clinical advice about risk assessment, safety planning and risk management
  • In consultation with relevant departments, ensure training is fit for purpose and delivery is engaging and contemporary
  • Prepare documentation and correspondence including policy and procedures, program content and monthly and bi-annual reports (e.g., ACT Health, National Suicide Prevention Leadership Program)
  • Develop education awareness raising across the organisation, such as Mindframe’s communication guidelines aimed at guiding staff in their use of language to reduce stigma and support safe reporting and help-seeking behaviours.
