▪ Accountable for planning and supervising high quality maintenance and installation of electrical infrastructure on a wide variety of heavy equipment which are utilised in mining operations at both Finucane Island and Nelson Point.

▪ Coach and train new staff in procedures in order to ensure that all job requirements are clearly understood.

▪ Disconnect and reconnect low and high voltage motors i.e. apron feeders, long travel drives, oil pumps and cooling fans.

▪ Attend to faults in the plant as they arise, ensuring minimal disruption to production through ready access to critical parts.

▪ Provide ongoing in field, hands-on leadership and mentoring to the Electrical team and arrange training when required.

▪ Perform stat circuit inspections on stackers, reclaimers and LRPS, lock team members onto isolation lock boxes.

▪ Replace proximity switches and limit switches on stackers and reclaimers, fix, test and replace limit switches.

▪ Attend and contribute to safety meetings, completing all safety paperwork such as JHAs and Take5s.

▪ Lead and oversee the optimal safe and efficient operation and the effective maintenance of plant.

▪ Complete statutory field device inspections using PLC PMAC computer system.

▪ Carry out local isolations in the field to complete electrical works

• Assisted in the major shutdown (Re-build Phase) of Car Dumper 1 at BHP Nelson Point.
• Worked in accordance with OHS principles Making work safe.
• Attend safety meetings and pre-start meetings. Completed all safety paperwork including JHA's and Take 5's.
• Installed cable ladder, steel conduit and new Low voltage and Extra low voltage cabling for Positioner 2 on the Car Dumper.
• Terminate cables in Terminal boxes, Local control stations, Motors, MCC's and VVVF's.
• Locate, Test and Remove any redundant cabling.
• Punch-list items at the end of the project. Ensuring all work is completed properly and up to standard.

▪ Ensured all electrical maintenance activities were carried out in compliance with mining legislation and requirements.

▪ Demonstrated full compliance with the OHS and Environmental Management System standards.

▪ Disconnected and reconnected low & high voltage motors i.e. apron feeders, long travel drives, oil pumps & cooling fans.

▪ Replaced proximity switches on conveyor belts and blocked chutes and replaced limit switches on stackers and reclaimers.
