Josh Faulkner

Hey, my name is Josh. I am an eager fisherman, Rottnest0, and boating enthusiast who has lived and breathed boating and fishing all of my life, including 14 years i spent on Christmas Island. Currently, I'm working as a marine mechanic and looking to expand my journey in the boating industry with some charter work. I completed my Certificate II in Electrotechnology and finished my schooling studies with Year11 at Melville Senior High School, i will be completing my coxswain in 2025 once notified that it is needed. My professional experience includes working with TMP Marine, where I performed mechanical, electrical, maintenance, fabrication, painting and all other upholding and repair tasks on boats. I also worked for a year with Private Yacht Solutions, maintaining superyachts. for two years i worked in retail at the Rottnest Island General Store. Finally I'm currently doing private skippering for trips to badword_key_1 Island.

My knowledge of boating, fishing, freediving, and the ocean is extensive and unmatched for my age. I am highly skilled at engaging with clients, ensuring they feel safe and enjoy their time on the water. My ultimate goal is to share my passion and knowledge of the ocean with others while creating unforgettable experiences. Outside of work, my hobbies include boating, fishing, surfing, spearfishing, freediving, AFL, and volleyball.

With my hands-on experience in marine mechanics, navigation, and customer service, I am eager to transition into a role as a tour guide for spearfishing, fishing and beyond. Along with fishing knowledge i have skills with rigging both spearfishing and fishing set ups which is a must in this area of work. I aim to combine my technical expertise, deep understanding of the ocean, and enthusiasm for teaching others to provide unforgettable experiences for clients, fostering their appreciation for marine activities and getting that dream catch. My commitment to safety, personalized service, and passion for marine life make me an ideal candidate for leading engaging and memorable charters.
