- Learnt the proper technique of CPR as well as first aid. More specifically and in importantly the way to respond to emergencies.
- As a Lifeguard I learnt also about risk assessment and the way of recognizing potential risks and the way in which I prevent accidents from happening.
- Mainly learnt the importance of making sure the community was safe and providing assistance to people when they need it.

- Making split second decisions under pressure such as fouls, offsides, goals and other decisions involved within the game.
- Also learnt how to manage with disputes between players and even parents but also enforcing rules.
- Also learnt the roles of leadership and taking in charge of the game, creating a environment of fairness for teams as well as guiding players on the proper way of playing the game.

- The Duke of Edinburgh Award taught me many thinks with one of the main ideas being trying new things. The award especially helped me put myself out there and taking me outside my comfort zone.
- The award also taught me the role of volunteering and learning social responsibility and empathy towards others and the value of contributing towards the community.
- The award also allowed me for self-reflection and personal development on my experiences. Showed me my strengths, weaknesses but ultimately the areas needed for improvement.
