Joshua Smith

I am in my last year of school and I'm looking for a full-time position that challenges my thinking and will allow me to grow personally and professionally.

I am a dependable person with a positive attitude who's willing to take on added responsibilities to meet team goals.

I am a outgoing, hardworking individual with excellent communication skills who is committed to doing my best.

Basketball has always been my passion. I've been playing for as long as I can remember.

I started socially and then moved to a district level for North Adelaide Basketball Club from around the age of 9. I come from a family of basketballer's, so I had a basketball in my hand very early on. It's here I learnt a lot about discipline and working as a team which lead me into teaching younger students at my school about the game. I love seeing people succeed, so when I see the excitement on their faces when they get a goal or do something they couldn't do before, it's really rewarding. I really like looking at how the game works and the strategies behind the plays. The methods and structure interest me.

I no longer play at that lever, but I continue to play socially with family and friends whenever I can.

I've recently taken up golf as another way of getting out and learning a different set of skills. I enjoy getting outdoors and learning new ways of achieving the end goal. I'm always looking for new ways of improving my game, so I ask a lot of questions and do a fair bit of research.

I like to strive to find a better way.
