• Current position of Senior Operator in the Primary Smelter performing the following duties.

- Assisting the Team Leader in daily operations of the plant.

- Relieve the Team Leader position while on leave.

- Have a sound understanding of both the furnace control and WHB positions.

- Assisted in the training of new and current operators.

• Followed plant safety procedures, rules, and regulations.
• Maintained a safe working environment by adhering to safety protocols and conducting regular inspections.
• Previous to moving into the senior operators position, I was the Furnace Control Operator & WHB Attendant. Performing the following duties.

- Reduced downtime by identifying and resolving equipment malfunctions or failures.

- Recorded inside and outside process readings on daily log sheets.

- Exceeded quality control standards by maintaining strict attention to detail during production processes.

- Ensured accurate data collection by diligently recording all operational parameters and equipment readings for analysis.

- Increased plant efficiency by monitoring and adjusting equipment settings as needed.

-Identified opportunities for process optimization, leading to enhanced operational efficiency.

• Prepare and assist with the commissioning of the Primary smelter. Focusing on the WHB.
• Prepare and review SWIs for the primary smelter start-up.
• Attend risk assessment when required.
• Work in with vendors and associated contractors.

• Trained across all sections of the blast furnace. Bottom Floor, Top Floor, Secondary Floor & Dross Floor.
