Generalinformation

I was previously employed as a miner by UK Coal Mining Ltd before I was made redundant in December 2015 due to the pit closure. Mining is in my blood, I was the third generation of my family to work down the mine and I was devastated when I learned that the pit was due for closure. I have travelled to live in Australia in the hope that I can continue my passion here. It is a given that the underground mining environment is challenging, and that the health and safety of miners comes first. I understand that being able to react quickly to emergencies and identify potential problems is critical, not just to maintaining operations but to safeguard workers in the event of an emergency and saves lives. After returning from Australia I resumed my career as an electrical sub contractor.
